On January 17th, Vern had a CT scan and a follow-up with Dr. Skeel. The results showed that the tumors on his lung are not growing, if anything they are smaller!!! Dr. Skeel was obviously quite pleased with the results. This shows that the Tarceva is working! We are so thankful. God is good.
Vern has also gained another 6 pounds back (yeah!) and is getting a bit more energy to do things. He is so used to doing stuff all the time that I think the hardest thing is for him to take it slow, and figure out when he needs to rest. He has been trying to clean in the basement and sorting a bunch of it for recycling or trash. We all need to sort through our junk and only keep the good stuff, literally and figuratively!
Vern still needs prayer for a couple things. Please pray that his stomach will be less upset and that food will taste better to him.
A major praise is that we were able to get disability through SS, which takes a lot of worry off both of our minds.
