Update on Vern

It has been a long time since the last update because the changes now are very gradual. Vernon went to the oncologist and the radiologist recently. They did a CT scan, blood test, etc. The doctors said the cancer is not growing and is under control.
He continues to take Tarceva, a gene targeted chemotherapy pill, and is receiving infusions to build his bones and takes medication for pain. He is gradually gaining back part of the weight that he lost, his strength is gradually increasing, and his hair is growing back. He tires easily and still takes afternoon naps. He is still working approx. 8 hr a week at Ace Hardware.
