A couple weeks ago, I started having pain in my right arm pit. I went to my primary care physician as directed by my oncologist's nurse. The doctor said it is probably lymphoma. They called my oncologist to relay their findings. I then had an appointment with my oncologist (Dr. Skeel) April 3rd. During that appointment, they also did a needle biopsy (the same day). The final results of that biopsy, which we found out last Thursday, was that it is melanoma cancer in my lymph nodes.

The oncologist has scheduled a PET scan and a MRI for this Tuesday to check on the status of the non-small cell lung cancer and the melanoma cancer. After those two tests are done, we will see him, Dr. Skeel, the next day, when they will suggest a plan of attack. They said it will probably include surgery and radiation. The melanoma cancer is much more treatable then the lung cancer. We will update you soon after the doctors visit this coming week.
